What is it about:
Sometimes, chasing your dreams leads you right to where you belong!
Having just turned 18, Grace Trey aspires to more than just singing at her church where her father, a former pop star, is the worship leader. So, with the help of Mossy, her dad's former manager, Grace records a cover version of her dad's old Top-10 hit, runs off to Los Angeles, and begins to taste the kind of stardom she's always dreamed about.
Yet with each rung of the ladder she climbs, Grace feels more and more pressure to compromise her values, further straining her relationship with her parents. Will everything she experiences lead her to reject her faith… or rediscover it?
Grace Unplugged opens in theaters October 4 and is “Family Approved” by the Dove Foundation.

PUREX UltraPacks Plus Oxi Detergent Review and Giveaway

I am so happy to be a Purex Insider and was able to get accepted into my first promotion with them.

Have you heard of the Purex UltraPacks plux Oxi detergent? I have heard of the product and seen it in the store and in advertisements but never had the chance to try it out.

I do like products that get the dirt out.  You see, my hubby, well he gets dirty at his job.  Really dirty. He's out in the dirt, covered in oil or grease, baking in the hot sun and I need a good strong product to get his work clothes presentable so that he can continue to wear them.  I have used the Purex product about 6 times since I received it and I do have to say that it does get all the grease and grime and stink out of his clothes. One shirt the stain didn't come out of, but it is a work shirt and the stain has been there for a period of time.

I also love the "packs" that Purex is using.  These are so easy to use. No measuring, no dumping out detergent into a cup and hoping not to spill any, just reach in, grab a packet and drop in the washing machine.  Very easy. Non-messy.  Love it!

Would you like a chance to try this product? I have three coupons for a Free pack of the new Purex UltraPacks plus Oxi detergent that I am able to giveaway to my readers.

Rules: Giveaway will end on October 8, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. and is open to residents of the US who are 18+. There will be three winners (one coupon per winner). You must enter using the rafflecopter form below.

Thank you to Purex for allowing me to participate in this promotion and supply three product coupons to giveaway to my readers.

Disclaimer: All words and images included are my own and were not influenced by any outside source. I received absolutely no monetary compensation for this post, I did however, receive a product free of charge through the Purex Insiders program.

Huck Walton & The WallTones New Music, Blog App and a Giveaway

I consider myself up on a lot of the music that has been coming out, but I have to admit that I had never heard of this band before.  But now I am glad that I have.

Have you heard of Huck Walton & The WallTones? Check

A little information about the band:

Huck Walton is the only offspring of Broadway star Ann Morrison. Huck spent a childhood filled with professional acting, dancing, and singing, As he entered college, he put his focus directly towards writing and performing his own music. After a couple years of traveling on tour in a guitar duo, Walton moved to Los Angeles with the aspirations of forming a band. He believes firmly that even singer-songwriters should have a set band to interpret the music.
Huck was introduced to Anne Seidler (Music Director, Keyboardist, and best friend) three years ago. Together they began to organically develop the sound of the band with a number of other musicians coming and going. The act started to take shape a year in when bassist Mike Marigliano joined the group permanently. Huck Walton & The WallTones became a band eight months ago when the sought after Anthony Sonetti took to the drums. It was around this time that producer Bruce Vanderveer (Sony/ATV) picked up the WallTones and crafted the first of their singles.
I have listened to the song "More Than Enough" a few times and I really like it.  I'm really enjoying the sound.  It is nice to hear some new music nowadays and not end up with a headache from the "noise" and be able to understand the words that are being sung.

This is interesting and I think it is something that you all would enjoy.  How would you like a free download of a live song? All you have to do is click this button, you are "paying for it with a tweet, " so it doesn't cost you anything.  Even if you don't wish to enter the giveaway (information coming up on that shortly), you can still get a free download!! How awesome is that?

Now, onto the giveaway! Yes, I said a giveaway.  This promotion will take place across multiple blogs so the grand prize of an iPad mini will be from all the blogs combined.

But, my readers have a chance to win the " WallTones iTune pack w/ unreleased track and exclusive pdf booklet."

Have fun with the app! Play the game, meet the band! Share with your friends. Introduce them to some cool new music! Leave a comment on the blog to let me know if you enjoy their music! What your score on the game was, etc. But that is all optional!

Educational Alphabet Flash Cards for 3,4,5 Year Old Kids Review

I am a homeschooling Mama so I am always on the lookout for products that I am able to incorporate into our activities, both in learning and in fun.

I have found out from an early stage that my little one loves flash cards.  Not just alphabet ones, but math ones, site word ones and all in between.  She learned the alphabet and her colors at a very early age from flashcards.  Lately we've been working on site words and reading with her, so I have been in the market for flashcards that have easy words on them for her and also with pictures so she can relate the two which will help her pick up the words.

That is where the Educational Alphabet Flash Cards come in.  They are sold by Educational Toys Planet and are available for $2.97 from their site.

Involve your child in the joy of learning the ABC. School Zone Alphabet Flash Cards bring skills such as memory, listening, and movement into each fun-filled lesson. Children will get to know phonics and be able to connect letter sounds with objects: K is for Kite, for example. They will also learn that each letter is a symbol that can be memorized. Offer this colorful world of letters to your child today. Alphabet Flash Cards' fun features and big benefits include: access code for Golden Scholar Club free online gift, 52 unique, colorful illustrations, letters written in bold block-style, all upper- and lowercase letters included, thick glossy cardstock, rounded corners for easy sorting, parent card offers game instruction. This Educational Toys Planet's ABC flash card set contains 56 cards with storage box.
Our Review:

These are labeled for children that are 3 years of age and up.  Our little recently turned 5 so I wasn't sure how much of a challenge some of these words would be for her.  Before we opened up the package I was figuring that they would mostly be two letter or three letter words (at, cat, dog, etc), words that she already knows.

I was pleasantly surprised to find more difficult words in the package for her. Words that we hadn't really gone over in the past. Some words she had "heard" from me while I was reading to her, but these weren't words that she had been actively trying to sound out herself.  Some words she did get right off, but those are words that she comes across everyday in our readings, but the more difficult ones, after a few tries she was starting to pick up because we could flip the card over so that she could see the picture on the other side.  Therefore, using some skills to figure out the word.

This probably doesn't matter to a lot of folks, but to me it does. I really like how the writing (printing) on the cards is good size.  It makes it much easier for our child to quickly recognize a  letter and to sound the word out if she doesn't know it. When the writing is so tiny, they have to really look at it and sometimes the b's start to look like d's or the c's start to look like o's. But we didn't have that problem here.

I really believe that you would enjoy adding this product to your children's items for learning.  They can read the words, they can play games with the words (there are instructions in the box for game play) and they will learn while they are having fun.

If you want to check out their other products you can swing over to the Educational Toys Planet and check them out.

Their items are divided by age groups and it is very easy to navigate around.
