Alex & Me Starring Soccer Superstar Alex Morgan Review and Giveaway

**Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the Blu-ray I reviewed in this Blog Post. The opinions I share are my own.”**

Alex & Me

What is it about:

Teenager Reagan Willis (Agudong) has one dream – to play soccer like her hero, Alex Morgan. Her bedroom is a shrine to all things Alex, including a life-size poster of the Olympic gold medalist. Yet in the Willis house, Reagan lives in the shadow of her prep football superstar brother, Logan. When Reagan fails to make the cut of the premiere local soccer club team and is humiliated by her rival Claire, she’s certain her ship has sailed. But after accidentally hitting her head, Reagan’s poster of Alex Morgan suddenly comes to life and everything changes!

An Olympic Gold Medalist and FIFA Women’s World Cup champion with a penchant for goal scoring, Alex Morgan is one of the top soccer players on the planet, currently playing forward for the United States Women's National Team and the Orlando Pride of the National Women's Soccer League. Away from the field, Morgan is also an accomplished author of “The Kicks” series, a collection of chapter books filled with wonderful messages of empowerment for young girls. The first The Kicks book, “Saving the Team,” debuted at No. 7 on the New York Times Best Seller list.

Eric Champnella (Thunderstruck, Mr. 3000, Eddie) wrote the Alex & Me screenplay and is also making his full-length feature debut as the film’s director. Alex Morgan serves as co-producer. Producers are Mike Karz (Blended) and William Bindley (Mother’s Day). Todd Williams (The Illusionist) is the executive producer.

Jerry Trainor (iCarly) also stars as Nigel, a less-than-reliable youth soccer coach, alongside Matt Cornett (Bella and the Bulldogs) as Reagan’s brother, Logan; Colin Critchley (Legends of the Hidden Temple) as Reagan’s soccer-playing pal, Ben; Chuiti Tiu (Nashville) as Reagan’s mother, Ann Wills; and Jim Klock (True Detective, Scream Queens) as Reagan’s father (and biggest fan), Joe Wills. Jessica Treska (HBO’s upcoming Sharp Objects) plays Reagan’s arch-rival, Claire.

Our review:

I knew the kiddo would enjoy this movie as soccer is her favorite sport and she also knows who Alex Morgan is.  The movie was very easy to relate to as there are a lot of kids that live in their older siblings shadows when it comes to sports and millions of kids who don't quite "make the cut."

It is a good family movie that everyone enjoyed and the kiddo has watched it twice already.  Would definitely recommend, especially watching it right now with the World Cup in full-force.  Perfect for the soccer fans and also for kids that feel like they don't quite live up to the hype of their older siblings when it comes to sports.

Alex & Me is available on Blu-ray (SRP $24.98), DVD (SRP $19.98) and Digital (SRP $14.99).

Photowall.com Product Review

*Disclaimer: I received no monetary compensation for this posting, however, I did receive a canvas print of choice to do a product review for.

Are you looking to add wall murals or canvas prints to your homes?? Then I have the business for you to check out, for all your needs.

Photowall is a Swedish company that puts their heart and souls into design and the quality of their prints.  They are also a partner to companies, such as, Disney, Moomin Characters, Modesty Blaise and more.  Their canvas prints and wall murals are environmentally friendly and fire retardant.

You can check out and contact Photowall here, as well as through:

     facebook

     pinterest

     instagram

What is really nice?? You can choose one of their prints or, you can upload your own image and they will make it into a work of art for you to hang. There are dozens of categories to choose from and I would bet that you will have a hard time selecting one.  I did.  I had it narrowed down to five different ones, then 3, down to 2 and finally chose the one that we received.

Looking for prints for your kids room? Check out some of these examples:

     Into architecture??

     Or, how about sports??

There really are dozens and dozens of categories to choose from and hundreds and hundreds of designs.

Now to get onto the one that we chose??

It arrived super quickly and well packaged to insure its safe arrival.

Hints: Based on the size you get, put it together on a large, hard flat surface.  We didn't have anything big enough and put it together on the bed.  Which, worked just as well, but if you have a large table, I would recommend using that.

Arrived safely.  Including a very heavy frame.

Directions are super easy to follow for assembly, and includes all parts needed to assemble.  NO TOOLS NECESSARY ~ BIG PLUS!!!

After you peel the tape, attach the print and fold the over, you attach the brackets and tighten the canvas.  So easy, our kiddo was helping with it.

This is what the back looked like when it was finished.  Everything tight and strong.

I need to rearrange some of my pics to get Elvis up on the wall.  Right now he is hanging around on our master bathroom door.

Our final thoughts on Photowall . . .

You will not be disappointed with the quality of the product you receive.  The graphics are crisp and it appears in ours that Elvis is going to hip grind right off the canvas and into our home.   It comes with all you need, including the hardware to hang the print up.  Shipping is within 2-3 days in the US and FREE, they have attentive customer service, but check the times as they are listed in Swedish time.

Very easy to put it together.  Took all of 15 minutes or so before we had it hanging and as I mentioned, our kiddo helped.

They have a 14-day return policy and would be perfect for gifting someone.  If you are unsure what print your family member or friend would love, they also offer gift vouchers.

We love our Elvis print and we are looking into making our first purchase through Photowall for a print for our kiddo's room.

Many many many thanks to Christine at Photowall for selecting our blog to participate in doing a product review.   Please, go and check them out for yourselves, you won't be disappointed.

HORMEL GATHERINGS Party Tray Review and Product Coupon Giveaway

Disclaimer:

I received free product in exchange for my honest review.

It is the holiday season and you know what that means?? Family and friends gatherings.  Hormel, makes it so easy to serve finger foods to your guests.

Have you checked out their HORMEL GATHERINGS Party Trays?? They are the perfect party tray for those parties.  Talk about being stress free when it comes to your party planning.  These are easy to use and ready made!!  These party trays aren't just good for your holiday gatherings, they are also perfect for tailgate parties!

You can click HERE to find out the nutritional information about these trays!

We were able to try the Hard Salami & Pepperoni tray at our family gathering.  We had searched 3 stores for the Honey Ham & Turkey one but came up empty handed.  They are very popular during these times of years.

Ours was a big hit here! So easy to just take off the cover and let the guest at it.  By the time the gathering was 3/4 of the way over, the tray was empty.  Talk about a stress free holiday not having to worry putting together trays for the guest.

Definitely grabbed the right one! This one looked so fresh in the packaging and was fresh when we opened up!

The crackers were crunchy (not to salty) and the meat and cheese were fresh.  Each had their own flavors (weren't blended together).  Pretty sure the pepperoni was the first thing that was gone.  My favorite was the Salami and Colby cheese on a cracker.

So good!  Absolutely no disappointment with this HORMEL GATHERINGS Party Tray!

Would highly recommend for all your party needs!

Head on over to Hormel and check out their other products.  They have a bigger Party Tray and they also have smaller ones (if you don't want to share, lol).

Trick Or Treat With NCircle Entertainment DVDs Giveaway

I absolutely love Halloween time and all the shows that comes with it.  Though we enjoy a good scare every now and again, we also love the fun Halloween shows!  The family oriented ones that make the kids giggle and make them want to watch them over and over again.

Thanks to NCircle Entertainment we have been enjoying some fun titles (and you will get to as well).

What have we been watching?? Glad you asked!!!

Twelve year old Harry has lived and breathed magic since his early childhood. The problem is that his hometown, Appletown, is not the best place for his natural talent to blossom. Although he rehearses endlessly in his parents' barn he realizes that his dream is just that a dream. One day Harry catches the glimpse of a chance: the New York mayor has announced a magic competition due to the official opening of the Statue of Liberty. Unfortunately, there is a slight problem with this competition, in order to try out one must be trained by a real magician. Poor Harry doesn't know a single one. Until Harry s father runs into the magician, the Great Tesla, in town and Tesla promises to see Harry. Despite the young boy s lack of knowledge Tesla spots talent, creativity and boldness in Harry. He decides to give him a chance and invites him to his own home, accompanied by his niece, Beth, and his assistant, Amrold. Tesla will teach Harry the basics of magic, his tricks but will also test him. Will Harry be strong enough to become a true magician?
