KONG Doy Toys Review and Giveaway

When my pup passed away almost two years ago (got her in 1999), I swore there would be no more dogs. Wasn't going to go through the heartache of losing another one. But, I also have a little girl and, like I did, I want her to grow up around animals. To know the love that a dog can give, to see the love in the dogs eyes and to understand they aren't just animals, they are family.

So, we found Rocky.

and the boy has grown into a beast who loves his doggie toys. Anything cloth, forget about it, it is destroyed by later that day. Squeaky toy, yeah, within hours it no longer squeaks and it is hard to tell it was even a toy.

I figured my boy would be up to the challenge of putting this to a proper test. Oh and he was!

And still up for the challenge of destroying a new toy:

and it went on and on, two weeks worth of us putting snacks in his toy (you put snacks in it if you wish, but he plays with it without snacks in it as well).

I am happy to report that after weeks of chewing, throwing, gnawing and all the things in between, the Kong Extreme has held up the way it said it would.

It is a little dirty, but no puncture holes, no tears in the rubber, nada. 

I am actually really impressed. We have found a dog product that our beast can't rip apart within hours. No breaking off pieces and having the chance to actually swallow them oh and a big plus NO SQUEAK, lol. 

The one thing that I found that I didn't like about it is that there is a chance that your pup could get his lower jaw stuck in the bottom of it trying to get the snacks out. Our beast had part of his jaw in there, but shook it off. So, make sure you get the right size for your pup so that won't happen.  Also, it is quite heavy, so if you have a kiddo who likes to play with your pup and throw toys, make sure you are watching them as they are playing. These can probably go through computer screens, TV screens, knock things off shelves, etc.

All and all, I (and the pup) give EntirelyPets a A+ on this item and we are planning on purchasing other toys from this company because they really do stand up to the testing of a beast.
