Wow are these awesome!!! We picked up some of the Nathan mini bagel hotdogs at Sam's Club last week. These are perfect for my little one. I cut them up even more for her and they are the perfect size to pick up in her little fingers. I don't remember the cost of them, but they are inexpensive for the amount that you get. They have a yummy flavor and they are microwavable. If my little one knew the "two thumbs up" sign I'm sure she would give it.
Perfect on a hot humid day instead of turning on the stove or the oven. Just added some grapes and juice with it and she was all set.

Afternoon Naps
I will so miss the afternoon naps when she decides that she just doesn't want to do it anymore. I keep hearing stories from other moms, whose children, are about the same age my little one is, and they no longer nap. Mine is still pretty good about it, she knows that after Barney it is time for her nap.
What do I get to do? There are days where I might nap (few and far between) but on most days, like today, I'm doing laundry, hanging up towels (how can a family go through so many towels?), dishes, and picking up the disaster that is the living room. Just so when the little one gets up from the nap she can destroy the place again.

Is it harder being an "older" mom?
I so hate that title of "older mom!" Yes, I had a child a little later in life then some, and hopefully she'll have a sibling sometime in the future, but I don't believe it is harder. I have to chase her around all over the place, just like friends of mine did back when they had their kids, but I truly don't see the difference. I keep up with her just fine. We have the same "issues" that all moms have. In the past couple of days "we" (and in the term of we, I mean her), have eaten a handful of tums and some diaper rash cream. Would she not have done that if I was 15 years younger? I doubt it because kids are kids.
As for the puppy issue, we have put that on hold for the time being. I want to wait until she is a little bit older so that she understands that a pet is not a chew toy or a stuffed animal to sit on or throw, or pull its tail. I'm sure my 18 year old cat hopes that she realizes that really soon.
