SmileyCookie.com Product Review

I admit it.  My name is Karen and I LOVE cookies.  Especially holiday type cookies when the ingredients are just the right mixture.  Not an overbearing flavor with not to much sweetness.

I was given the opportunity to do a product review from SmileyCookie.com of their Valentines Day Cookies .

The first thing I noticed it that they arrived in a very cute, eye catching box.  Even with no writing on the box, you know what is in there.  Doesn't the box just make you want to smile?

This is the scrumptious looking scene that I received when I opened up the box:

A full-dozen, HUGE Frosted Heart Cookies .

Did I mention that these are huge?!?

As you can see they come in a snap-tight container and are also sealed plastic wrapped to keep them fresh.

Now onto the best part of this review ~ THE TASTING.

First, as soon as you take off the plastic covering you can immediately smell the cookies, and I have to be honest, they did smell yummy.  But, in the past I have tried cookies that have smelled yummy only to have them either incredibly sweet (to sweet to eat) or horrible tasting.

But, in regards to the smell of these cookies being deceiving, I would have to say that, NO, SmileyCookie did not deceive.

I was expecting a crisp cookie, but these were soft with just the right amount of texture and a nice clean flavor.  The frosting was not overbearing to say the least.  I know some people see pink frosting and think "oh my, going to be to sweet."  I thought that as well, until I tried one.  I was pleasantly surprised to find that they weren't all that sweet.  It was just the right combination of cookie and frosting.

A big A+ in my book is that there is absolutely no aftertaste.  That is one thing that I dislike with some cookies, they will leave a unpleasant aftertaste in your mouth, but these ones didn't.

Plainly summing it up, yes they are YUMMY.

Of course we have a little taste tester in the house as well.  She heard the word cookie and came flying out her bedroom so that she could have one.  When I handed her one she said "mommy look, cookie happy."  I guess she is right, the cookie is happy and truthfully, so is this reviewer.

I do have to tell you that this specific cookie is 1 per serving with calories of 250 per cookie.  But don't let that get you down because one is pretty much all you will need at a time to quench that cookie need that you have at the moment.

Smileycookie is producing a wonderful product that will make you literally smile.  The perfect company name for the perfect cookie. Why don't you head on over there and see what they offer.  I believe that there is something for everyone.  You can even customize your own "one of a kind cookies."  How cool is that?!?

Their prices vary from under $10 (the product that I reviewed is $12.99 for a dozen cookies) to over $50.  You can get everything from packages of cookies to Cookie Gift Baskets .

Right now their shipping is only $6.99 for your complete order via UPS Ground Service.

I would like to take this time to thank Smileycookie for giving me the opportunity to do a  review Heart Smiley Cookies.

**I was given a product to review free of charge from Smileycookie.  My opinion is of my own and was not influenced by any third party. I received no other compensation for this product review.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. Interesting/Funny/Inspiring/Educational Blogs I Enjoy

In my ongoing search for blogs that I enjoy being a part of; I have come across many that leave me wanting more.

Last week I introduced my readers to a wonderful blogger who I am sure many would enjoy reading and visiting her blog daily.

This week I am going to introduce you to another blogger with whom I am glad to have stumbled across his blog a while back.  The Cheese dude (otherwise known as Abe) makes me laugh, the stories that he tells, the things that he does and the videos that he shares will leave you hanging and make you return again and again.

His recent posting states that at 500 follwers he will pick up Chinese takeout in a Barney costume and will share the video with the blog world.

Please check out his blog.  He can be found here:

Have a wonderful day everyone.

Meet Me Monday

It has been "forever" since I have participated in this weekly blog question and answer session.  I must be slipping.

If you want to know what I am talking about; it is called MEET ME MONDAY and is hosted by Java over at Never Growing Old .  It is easy to participate, you just read the post on her site and write a blog post (or respond in her comment section if you don't have a blog) and then link up.  Of course, go check out the other bloggers site and responses and comment.

This weeks questions are:

1.  Have you (only you..not a group) ever won first place in anything?
2.  Are your toes always painted (sorry guys...this question for girls only)?
3.  What color eyes do you have?
4.  Look to your left....what do you see?
5.  Soft cookies or crunchy cookies?

My responses:

1.  Yes, I have won first place in quite a few things from sporting events to spelling bees and things in between.

2.  My toes are never painted.  I think that maybe I have done it 3-5 times in my lifetime.  Maybe I should give it a try again sometime and see how it turns out.

3.  My eyes are grey/green.

4.  A wall with a smoke detector on it and the dog laying on the floor.

5.  I like soft-gooey chocolate chip cookies straight from the oven.  But I really have no preference, cookies are YUMMY either way.

My WTH Funny Happening Story Of The Day

Do you know the styrofoam that companies use in boxes to secure electronic equipment?  If you break it up some of it is really tiny (BB size) balls and can be messy.

Apparently, somewhere, somehow the little one found some.  Wasn't a big piece, but none-the-less she found it.

I thought she was in the bathroom going potty.  When I called out to her that is what she said she was doing.

I found out what she was actually doing in there about 30 minutes later when I had to make a pit stop.

I'm in there.

The furnace starts up.

The blower kicks on.

I am covered with little styrofoam balls.

Hundreds of little pieces of styrofoam.

She broke the piece up and stuffed it down the register.

She thought it was funny and giggled for a few minutes and kept saying "mommy, funny."

Oh yeah, Mommy is funny.

Interesting/Funny/Inspiring/Educational Blogs I Enjoy

I thought that I would share with my readers some really awesome blogs that I have come across out in the blog universe.  These are blog women and men that make you laugh, cry, think, shake your head, roll your eyes and everything in between.  Some might cover just one and yet others might hit all the emotions that you can think of.

For my first post on this topic I thought that I would share with you one of the very first blogs that I started to follow and read on a daily basis.  This lady is remarkable, whether in her writing or via her vlogs with her Mom.  The stories of her Dad, hubby and kids will leave you wanting more.

I urge you to check out:

I am positive that you will enjoy her blog and vlogs.

Happy January 1st, 2011 To One And All

I hope that each and every one of you has a wonderful and happy 2011.  May all your dreams and wishes come true.

If you know me then you know I love sports.  I love the Cowboys (thankfully the season didn't turn out as bad as I thought with just 1 win), the Red Sox (great pick-ups in the off-season) and the Celtics (oh please tell me that KG won't be out for long).  I also like Nascar and was a Sr fan for many years and then a Jr fan as well and I even root for Gordon (got rooked into that one).

Where am I going with this?  Well I just wanted to show that I wear a hat of many colors.  Yes, I am a Mom to a beautiful little one, a wife, a partner and everything in between.  Some people wouldn't believe the vast information that I have stored about sports in my head or that I also love to collect sports memorabilia.

So again where am I going with this??

I was wondering if there would be any interest in a few giveaways that were based on sports memorabilia?  After all, I am a sports loving, advanced maternal age, yelling at the TV on Sundays momma, with a toddler that runs me ragged through out the day and I just want to bring that aspect into my writings as well, after all like this blog, that is a part of me.

What do you all think?
