Nora Roberts Book The Witness Giveaway

I love to read.  Most of the times I get so deep into a book that it only takes a couple of days to get through it.

One of my goals is to get my daughter to have the same love for reading, whether it be classics or mysteries, thrillers or just light-hearted books,  that I have.  We all know, books take you places (in your mind) that you might not be able to travel.

But, I do like to read certain types of books and sometimes I come across a book that just isn't my cup of joe, so I like to pass it on.

As, the case here.  I won a awesome collection of items that included numerous books (which 2 I am in the process of reading now), but also included a Nora Roberts book that I won't read.  Not that I have anything against her as a writer, I just can't get into her books very well.  So, I wanted to give this one away, to you, my blog readers.

The prize is: Nora Roberts "The Witness" hardcover book.  It is brand new and comes from a smoke free home.  I normally ship items first class but being that this is thick, I will probably ship it media mail (will have to see what the prices are).

To enter, just check out the rafflecopter form below, the mandatory entry is a follow on twitter.  Then all the others are extras that you may do if you wish.

Giveaway will end on 6/21/12 @ 12:01 a.m.

Thanks for entering and good luck!

This giveaway is sponsored by me (Lollipops n' Ladybugs), no outside source was included, all words are my own.

Homeschooling Thoughts . . .

As a few of you know, we decided (or maybe it was I that decided) to homeschool the little one. Not because I think the schools in the area are the worst, I just know in my head and in my heart that I can do so much better for her. Why should she sit in a classroom for 7+ hours a day with 1 teacher (overworked) and 30 (probably more by the time she would be there) kids and try to learn? Why would we stifle her learning like that? The world will be her teacher. There is so much out there for her to learn. To experience.  To have fun with.

The one main issue on what I have had so far (or wall that I have hit) is which way to go with the homeschooling?  Just when I think that I have my mind made up on some sort of curriculum, another one catches my eye and I like what I read.  I know I do want it to focus around literature, as she already has a love for books it seems and I want to expand on that.  What I do see myself doing is borrowing from many different styles of teaching and finding what works best for us.

Anyone else do that? What works best for you and your family? I am always looking for new ideas.  How about supplies? What have you stocked up on or are looking to find?

Would love to hear some of your ideas.

Have a wonderful day, my friends.
