Well we've talked about it, and were going to get the kiddo a rabbit for Easter, but have since decided against it. Mainly because I don't want to get stuck cleaning out cages again. So, we have decided on getting her a puppy to grow up with. Now the search is on, for the right breed, right temperment, right size (we dont' want anything huge), one that gets along with people (including kids), and other animals as we have a big dog and 2 cats already.
I'm not sure hubby is really on board, but he hasn't tried to tell me no.
So, the search for the puppy is continuing.

A year has passed
It is so hard to believe that a year has passed since our little bundle was born. She has grown and learned so much and loves to discover new things. On the day of her birthday she took her first steps, and every day she takes another one. Though she is wobbily, I am sure that she will be taking off after the cats any day now.
I never thought that I would have a child to be celebrating this milestone with. I didn't "meet" my husband until January of 2007. I had actually given up on finding anyone to spend my life with, but what do they say ~ when you stop looking, you find someone. I had seen him numerous times at this one place I would stop and visit with a friend of mine, but he was so quiet and shy I couldn't even get him to look at me. He would come in, get coffee, scratch-off tickets and be out the door. The friend hooked us up. When she mentioned him to me I said "sure, why not, I'll have coffee with him but I'm not guaranteeing anything." Funny thing is, he pretty much said the same thing to her when she mentioned me, but gave his cell phone number to her to give to me. That first night he came down after work, we sat in his truck and talked for hours. At the end, he gave me a picture of himself in his race car, and from there it just gathered momentum.
Our little one was born in March of 2008 (told ya all it gathered momentum), and we were married in June of last year.
But, as I have said 1 year has passed and I look forward to all the milestones that my little one will succeed at.
