Times like these I feel like a bad mommy.
Em is attatched to her Dolly. Dolly takes naps with her. Dolly goes to bed at night with her. Dolly gets dragged all over the house by her.
This is actually Dolly the 2nd. The first dolly went through hell and started to fall apart. I would have tried to wash it, but with it ripped I knew that it wouldn't survive the washing machine.
Dolly the 2nd was supposed to be a Christmas present, but being that we had to dispose of the first one, she became an early Christmas present after a sleepless night of "dolly, dolllllleeeeeee, dollllllleeeeeee."
So, why do I feel like a bad mommy?
Because when Em got up from her nap, dolly was soaked.
I hijacked dolly and threw her in the washing machine.
Em is now walking around looking for dolly and yelling out to her. Though I don't think dolly can hear her during the spin cycle :-) .
Even as I am typing this she just got up in my face and said "dolleeeeeeeee," and pointed towards the bedroom. I told her to go and check but I'm sure that isn't going to satisfy her need for her dolly.
Please, spin cycle, hurry up.

Oh you are NOT a bad mommy at all. My oldest had a little doll, Polly. This little pink and white stuffed with fluff doll. She loved her so much I bought 3 to keep on hand eventually after she vomited on the original. Then one day she saw the other 2 in the closet and had a heart attack that there were more Pollys!
So now there is Polly, Molly and Holly!
my 4 year old had an elephant that he loved. we lost it on vacation somehow. it was very sad and i was on the verge of buying a replacement or sending him postcards from the elephant saying he missed him but loved living in florida.
but he fell in love with another stuffed animal. a koala.
dolly will be done soon and clean!
I've been keeping a close eye on the condition of my munchkins favorite toy and where I can buy another one. Hopefully, there will always be a plentiful supply!! ! Now following from MBC, you can find me at http://marvelouslymessy.blogspot.com/
I haven't run into this with either of my girls yet, but I remember having a favorite satin pillow when I was little and had to frag that everywhere with me. My mom did something similar with me too! I am a new follower from FFF at the Mom Bloggers Club, so pleased to have found your blog. Hope you have a great week!

My 2 year old daughter has a bear/blankie thing named "Bear Bear". He has been left at K-mart, burried in grandma's backyard and hit by a car. I really need to buy a back-up. We go through simialr scenes when he gets washed! =)
