Mustache Cookie Cutter Set Product Review and Giveaway

Do you love to make cookies?

I do.  The little one and I have a fun, messy time, making cookies.  Normally, it is ingredients, mix and plop down on the cookie sheet to bake.

We tried to make some using cookie cutters around Christmas time, but they didn't come out that well.

Then, when I signed onto Tomoson, I saw a chance to redeem myself using a cookie cutter set to make designs with cookies.  The company Fuzzy Ink has a product called Mustache Cookie Cutter Set and they were looking for peeps to do a product review for them. I applied and was chosen.  I was sent the 3-piece mustache cookie cutters (3 different designs) that measure around 4"W x 1.25-1.5", but the size will vary a little. These are also made of 11% stainless steel.

First, something cool for ya.  There is a recipe on the back of the package called "Whiskered Bliss" so you can make your cookies from scratch.  Us, we didn't.  I did use a prepacked mix where we just had to add a couple of ingredients to it. But, I did save the packaging so we could try the recipe down the road.

I have to tell you, that I am sort of proud of myself with the way some of the cookies came out.  You can start drooling now because I am going to post a picture or maybe two of some chocolate chip cookies made with chocolate candy.  Yumm!

This is the end result for our cookies:

The first ones, I put to much dough in them, so they came out kind of thick. But, still yummy according to the little one and hubby.

Second batch came out a little better.

This is one from the 3rd batch. And, the best one of the bunch I think.

Our thoughts:

These were super fun to make. Our little one loved to help me make these.  Not as much as she loved eating some of the finish product, but she still had fun. These are very easy to use. Good for smaller hands to press down in the cookie dough. They also clean up really quickly.

I did find a con or two.  They are really really flexible, so I think that they can be bent quite easily. I think that they would work better with sugar cookies or the like that don't have chunky pieces in them.  Also, I though the edges were a little sharp, not sharp where you might slice off a finger or even cut yourself, but if you have a little one helping you, you should definitely watch them while they are using these.

Overall, I loved them and so did the little one.  Can't wait to break them out again to make our next batch of cookies. By the way, that batch of cookies . . . GONE. Mustaches and all.

Are you interested in purchasing a set? Then you can head on over to Fuzzy Ink where you can purchase your own set and then have a baking good time.  Plus, $5 of each sale is donated to the  Movember Foundation.

Or, you can scroll a little ways down and you can enter on our blog to win your own set.

Yes, that is right! Fuzzy Ink has graciously donated a set to be given away to one of our blog readers.

Disclaimer: I received absolutely no compensation for doing this product review.  However, I did receive a product, free of charge, so that I could do a proper review.  All words are my own and not influenced by any outside source.
