Feel Good Friday

Feel Good Friday is brought to you by The Girl Next Door Grows Up .

You know what time of the week it is ~ YES!!! It is Friday and that can only mean one thing. Okay, it means more then one thing, but for this post it means:

FEEL GOOD FRIDAY

As you can see I've been slacking a bit on the blog for the past week to 10 days. Being sick has really wore me out. Plus, trying to get things done around here has been time consuming as well.

I'm not going to make a big list this week, I'm just going to mention something that made me feel good this morning while I was laying in bed (get your minds out of the gutter) deciding if I wanted to get up or not.

My family!

Not my immediate family (brothers, father, etc). Though, yes they do count and I love them dearly.

I'm talking about my husband and my little girl.

Up to about 3-4 years ago I never thought that I would have my own family. I had been single for a long time and there were no prospects on the horizon for me. I've always been the type of girl that had mostly guy friends, and none of them were dating prospects. They would see me as their little sister and things along those lines.

My Moms use to tell me all the time (I miss you Moms) that I would never meet anyone staying in the house all the time. Which I admitted I did. She was right.

Then in 2007 a friend introduced me to my now husband. Both he and I told our friend the same thing "well we'll meet for coffee anf talk, but I'm not promising anything."

The first conversation wasn't coffee, but sitting in my driveway in his truck. At first it was a little awkward, but soon the minutes turned into hours. At the end he gave me a picture of him in his race car, and from then on out we were together.

Then my little angel came into the picture and I fell in love all over again.

So ladies and gents, this is my Feel Good Friday story and what made me feel good this morning. My family. Yes, we have had our ups and downs, but alot of couples do. The main thing is that we are able to work through them. It might take a day or two, but we know it is worth fighting for.

Have a great and safe holiday weekend everyone.

Awwwww. That was so sweet!

My dad used to tell me that a man wasn't going to fall through my roof. Although, I needed a new roof at the time, so you never knew! Maybe one would.

This is awesome! What a sweet FGF post. I like it!! I may run into that problem down the road, too. I have no real way to meet guys so it could get interesting. =)
